Jargon Buster
Below you will find explanations to some of the commonly used terms used throughout this site and the kitchen industry.
Handling, left or right?
Our cabinets are supplied handed where appropriate. That is the doors are pre hung either 'left handed' with the hinges on the left and opening to the left, or 'right handed' with the hinges on the right and opening to the right. This avoids the need for unsightly extra drill holes in the doors and carcass as often offered elsewhere. Please be sure to select the correct handling when ordering your cabinets.
Colour coordinated
Refers to the cabinet being as close a match to the colour and texture of the door as possible, giving a much better look than for example oak door and beige or white speckled carcass. Given the number of boards available to us we can always achieve a highly satisfactory match.
Rigid-built,
Unlike the usual flat packed cabinets our rigid built cabinets are built more like a piece of furniture. The 18mm board used throughout including the back gives the cabinet great strength and results in a kitchen that will last for many years to come.
Fully assembled Our units are also fully-assembled and are delivered to you as complete modules with all fittings and fixtures already drilled for and attached. You only need add handles and trims etc.
